Here are some of the watches that I really enjoy wearing. I hope that other watch fans like seeing them.
From left to right we have a Hamilton " colby " from the 1950s.
Next is a Benrus 1940s with a Bulova early 50s.
3rd photo is an Elgin from 1935.
The final image is of a Harman ,with 8 diamonds for numbers, and 3 rubies for 12--3--9.
The stones are tiny, and of little value themselves, but really dress-up the dial of this watch !!. The Harman has a swiss movement and keeps amazingly accurate time. It probably has not been serviced for decades.
This, of course, is the great downside of the vintage mechanical watches.Watch service can be pricey and is not done overnight. The watch movement is largely disassembled, the jewels cleaned out and oiled, and the movement reassembled.
Even more challenging is finding a watchmaker to do all the steps, and not take shortcuts, not to mention that watchmaking in the United States is rapidly dying out. If you have a good watchmaker , you live a charmed life !.
Anyway thanks for looking, and I hope other watch fans enjoy them as I do.

    Best Wishes,

    Mike
