Is this a Nassos Rodos pottery piece. I really do not know. The diameter is 5 and 3/4 inches. Please help.

I don't think so. It's Greek, and the way "Rodos" is written at the top looks like it's part of a title..."Rodos Geometric", which translates from Greek to English as "geometric wheels". I can't make out the artist's name, but they're quite good, better than Nomos, in my opinion. Someone with that caliber talent making Greek pottery as recently as 1982 should be easy enough to find. Just look at closed eBay auctions at the highest sale prices. Check out the pictures until you find a name that looks like your mystery artist's. Hi. I have a very similar plate that was purchased in 1962 by a friend on vacation in Rhodes and it is signed as made in Rhodes. She had also given me some Rodos Pottery tiles from a later vacation and that's why this post caught my eye. The understanding that she gave me is that Rodos is the Greek word for Rhodes and the street vendors, such as the one she'd bought the plate from that she'd given to me, later signed Rodos on the souvenirs to associate them with the more costly glazed pottery. It is hand painted (signed by the artist too so that's cool), probably a unique design as they combine imagery from all historic periods, but it is the sort of thing bought for about $20 USA on the street, and similar items are likely sold today. But each one is a unique treasure in its own right. An appraiser put my 1962 plate at a value of $2.50 but I wouldn't take $100.00 for it! :) Yours is lovely btw!
BTW it is earthenware so take care washing it, use a mild soap and avoid the dish washing machine! The paint is paint. Soaking will lift it off the clay! I've messed up a few of these souvenir plates before, but careful drying can lay the paint back and the piece still has a nice decorative "ancient" look for fun decor.
