Original still-sealed small bottle of wood remnants from the foundation log of the Murphy family, members of the ill-fated Donner Party in 1846. Small glass bottle measures 2 inches high and is sealed with its red-orange wax top. Originally recovered by historian C. F. McGlashan, he preserved the remnants, placed them in bottles with identification labels, and sold them for $1.00 each to fund a monument for the Donner Party, which is now the centerpiece of the Donner Memorial State Park. Bottle tag is numbered 1033. Personal collection of CollectorsShangri-La.com. Not for sale.

Hello. Would you mind to add a scan or photo of the both sides of the label where they can both be seen completely? I have one of these in my collection which is missing your label but has the other original one & I'd really like to add the a facsimile of the other label to show the other one it was supposed to have originally. I could do the same for you with the one I have (if you tell me how to send it), as it is the one that says "HISTORY OF THE DONNER PARTY" & the original $1.00 price & would've been numbered if part of the original ones sold but never was as it was part of the stash he never numbered that was sold years later. Anyway, I'd love your help.
