      Here’s a great site just for Nippon collectors. if you click on the type of mark you have on apiece , it will give you more details on the maker and date it was in use:

      As you probably know “Nippon” means “Japan”, and most of the Nippon collectors collect the fine porcelain, a large percentage being made by Noritake, however there are many authentic pieces marked Nippon that don’t fall under their umbrella, even some earthenware.
