This clock was given to my by my grandfather couple of years ago. I am looking for information on this clock.

It is said to have arrived in Iceland from USA in the year 1911 and it was one one three clocks that came. My grandfathers foster parents bought it or were given it and my grandfather got it in the 1940's or the 1950's.

I got it 7 years ago and just now I want to know more about it.

Hello hal81. Welcome to Collectors Weekly. Your heirloom is a wood case calendar clock made by the Waterbury Clock Company. See this link for a good, brief history for Waterbury: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/clocks/waterbury

You have a model they called the "Felix - Calendar" It was offered in Oak or Walnut and is from circa 1912. They originally retailed for around $4,80 which would be around $115 in 2014.

Here's an example which sold for $180 in 2007: http://p2.la-img.com/289/13750/4261783_1_l.jpg

Prices have dropped since then but I think your clock has at least maintained its original value.

Hope that solves your "mystery". If so, please indicate "mystery solved" in your listing. If not, ask away...

Thanks for sharing it with us.
