This is a "Berentzen" bar coaster promoting the Berentzen Apple Schnapps. - Measures 4" diameter with extra spot for shot - unused - (circa 2003)
The original "Apfelkorn" was made by Berentzen, invented in Germany in the 1970's. It is a sweet apple-flavored liqueur made from 100% wheat spirit and blended with apples. Apfelkorn is considered a schnapps but is very sweet and has about half the alcohol. In addition to Apple Schnapps, Berentzen also makes Cherry Schnapps and Pear Schnapps.
