Found in attic of father-in-laws house, don't know anything about it. Would like to know when it was produced and if it is worth anything?

I have this toy typewriter (I say toy, but it really works!) It was designed for children, and my guess is that this one is from the early '50s. It's fairly common, and isn't worth more than about $30. But it's pretty cool anyway! Most of the toy typewriters didn't use ribbon or real moving type, so it's a great conversation piece!

It's a TOM THUMB made in Jackson Mi. around 1955 ( APROX) They were for kids although they were kind of expensive for the "AVERAGE " kid. They are very cute, functional little typewriters,,and in working condition( VERY GOOD) can be worth in the BALLPARK of $40-$60.Hope this helps,I have 3 of them. Dylan
