Found this at a rummage sale about 30 years ago.. It was all padded and covered with cloth. Nice aurprise to find this underneath. Lightly sanded it down and sealed it. Use it for blanket storage and coffee table. Its 43" x 14" x 19". Am looking for an age number and if it is of any value

gotta be worth something! at the very least makes a very neat vintage storage crate. I could see a store asking up to $50 for it

Basically used for storage! Hope I didnt ruin it by putting a light coat of varnish on it!

"In 1908, the company opened a 1.25 million ft² building stretching along nearly 1/4 mile of the Chicago River, north of downtown Chicago. The building, known as the Montgomery Ward & Co. Catalog House, served as the company headquarters until 1974." I would bet it's from closer to 1908, probably around WWI.
