My collection of most of the known types of wood warning block barbed wire.
The center wire is the only known specimen of the Merrick Mihills diamond shaped block with spur rowel known to exist.
The fifth. wire from the top is a recent addition that was on my radar for 50 years before I acquired one.

Thanks OLECODY. Farmers are a tidy lot as a rule. If it's not still on a fence it is stored away in a barn or buried. The latter seems to have been the demise of a large amount of it. Have never been able to find out how much of it may have been recycled for the war effort in the 1940s.
