This is George the squirrel, my wife loves squirrels and I picked this one up in a charity shop a few years ago for £1 or less.
It is so very well made with so much detail, it is also marked with a circle topped with a crown - the initials RD are within the circle. I thought Royal Daulton but having checked I can see it isn't Daulton - so whom is it made by so I thought I'd turn to the good folk on here to see if anyone could help me.
He stands around 3-4 inches high and as stated the detail on this piece is amazing, he is mounted on a plaque of dark wood.
Any help I'll be very grateful
    Thanks in advance

Charming he is, a very handsome chap too.
Someone must surely recognise these markings, can anyone tell me who they represent, who's marks are they?
This piece does not look like some mass produced piece, the minute detail is amazing, such as the white bits on the mushrooms and the splinters in the log. Amazing work!
Anyone? Its dated 91 too with a © next to the date, if that helps.
We'd love to know his origin and who made him
