Here's a letter from Father Buckley of the 23rd Fughter group I've had for awhile , found in a USMC paper grouping several years ago, the Marine and the father were friends while he worked at a USO club in Batone Rouge before he was drafted into the corp, Buckley was stationed at the base near Baton Rouge at the time. Pretty sure Father Buckley took over the Chaplin job for the group right after the AVG disbanded and became the 23rd, the paper is Chinese rice paper with the group symbol stamped on it.

Neat grouping with the AVG/ CBI connection. Does the Chaplain have any good details in his letters?

Scott, he talks alitte about being visited by the japanese during a service and bout being away and is asking his friend about being in the corp. they were pretty good friends from what it sounds like.
