I found this antique advertising cardboard poster this morning in a flea market, it's and original cardboard used to promote matt's kola, a belgian sodapop drink produced with kola fruit from Congo

the cardboard was printed in Belgium in Gent by "Druk Colier NV" and has still the tax stamps on the back, the advantages with belgian advertising items is that they were well marked and dated and it's was an law obligation to have a tax stamp on it to be public displayed in the streets or in shops

the illustration was made by "A.De Loof", I'm pretty sure it's Aurel De Loof, a Belgian Illustrator and painter ( 1901-1982 ), he was a talented artist as this pinup is gorgeous

I love find local piece here as in Belgium we don't keep much of this stuff, many of those wonderful arts were simply thrown away to the garbage as for many people it didn't worth keeping it
