I've had these figurines for a long time. i know nothing about them, except that they're kind of beautiful. They are made of a very lightweight and soft paste and they've had their felts torn off their bases. Can anyone tell where they're from or when or anything else about them? thank you!

how old do people think this is? and where do you think it's from? the quality of the painting is quite a bit better in the man than in the woman. the man is also a bit smaller than the woman, so i don't think that they are an original match, but probably made by the same company. i'd love some info if anyone has any to share...
