I remember my when my parents brought this Cuckoo clock home back in the early/mid 50's while we were stationed in Munich, Germany. It is 24" H X 14.5" W & appears to be hand painted. The manufacturer is E. Schmeckenbecher & is a 20 Regula brass movement. I plan on giving it a good cleaning & lubrication in hopes of getting back in working order-as it hasn't ran in over 40 years. I have been unsuccessful in finding any clock like it anywhere & it came into my possession after my mother passed away.

Do you have any experience in working with antique/vintage clock mechanisms?
A "good" cleaning involves complete disassembly. Lubrication involves using clock oil. Cuckoo clocks usually have twice as much going on in half the space. This is obviously a valuable heirloom to you. Just a word to the wise, be careful with it.
