Its my grandparents, its circa 1970-1980s. Its a large piece it hangs low from the ceiling like a chandelier, and lower as a table. The side pieces can also be lowered and dropped below. And its also a lamp. Anyone has any idea about this piece?

Interesting looking piece which I have not seen before. It is rather unusual. I collect brass flush mounts (pre WWII). I will look on some of my links and see what I can find. Have you taken it down and inspected it for markings?

I agree with fhrjr...look for marks. I think it's something good.
