    Came across this item in an estate find. It looks to be a coin but I am not sure. I didn't want to clean it for fear of ruining its value. It looks Greek but I am not sure. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated.

      Nice! It's a byzantine Follis. The follies were introduced around year 300 this could younger though, maybe year 500. The front is upside down, it should be two figures one smaller and one larger sitting next to each other. Pretty good shape considering it's 1500 years old. Seems genuine. Congrats!

      The two figures are Justin II, byzantine Emperor around year 570, and his wife Sophia next to him.

      The CON at the bottom means it was minted in Constantinople (Istanbul).
