THIS ALSO CAME FROM COLLECTION they owned a bottling plant from the teens until 80's
it is spelled CHAS when I look this up I see no reproductions of this style
I believe this to be the real thing it is placed on a COCA COLA BOTTLE that is in block lettering only on the base
IT is blue ink in the middle and looks to be a black or very dark blue ink on the COCA COLA IN SCRIPT
I feel confident about it being original from the teens but thought i would let others look that no labels very well

IS THERE A RE-PRODUCTION LABEL OF THIS KIND WITH THE NAME SPELLED CHAS ?

    Unsolved Mystery

I believe yes there are reproductions of this label version.

      http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/51995-1917-1919-coca-cola-bottle-label--chas

Petretti weighs in on this subject in his 12th edition, pg 337: "Many bottles appear in the marketplace with labels on them. My experience is that the majority of these are reproduction labels. Most reproduction labels are heavier stock paper and background lines are more exact (uniform)."

Do you know when labels were re-produced I know this bottle has been in storage since the late 70's
The owner of the bottle owned a Coca Cola bottling plant, and the person I purchased from just found it in storage

      Thanks for your help

Right. The straight sided bottle by itself should stand on it's own merits. If the label is authentic, it may add a little value (doesn't make it a "Holy Grail" piece). If the label is a repro, it doesn't hurt value of the bottle whatsover. Maybe a bottle pro like SnakePlisskin will weigh in, you really need somebody who has a lot of knowledge around bottles to let you know for sure. And post a picture of the whole bottle, it looks nice.
