We bought this little feller over the weekend at an Antique mall, just couldn't pass him up (look at that face!). I've seen lots of Steiffs, but this one is in absolutely pristine condition! He is definately Steiff, he has the ear tag and all four wheels say Steiff. I think he's from the '20s but couldn't find another like him so not real sure. There was a similar one on Ebay a while back, but it didn't have the pull-ring for the bellows. Any ideas as to value would be great!

I'm not sure he's from the 20s. I was thinking 40s or later. But I'm not sure. Here's a great site with information you can use to date him by the type of button and tag he has: http://www.luckybears.com/encyclopaedia_steiff.asp. You might email Ken Yenke for a $10 appraisal via email. http://www.kenyenke.com/
