Designed by Helena Tynell in 1964, this design is relatively common, and comes in lots of widths and heights with different numbers of layers. I think some of them work better than others.
I find the green one here most appealing in real life. It's a very balanced shape and of course in my favorite colour!
The clear one was an impulse buy recently from an antique warehouse in Newcastle (NSW) and it actually looks better if it is no where near the vicinity of the green. It's shape works best alone, and I notice the ripple in the glass more when I'm not distracted.
I have seen the nice blue Pala vases posted by Austro here: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/71803-pala-vases-helena-tynell-riihimki-la
and thought these could go up as an addition.
