We know that Mike likes bikes...and we do too!! But we don't know as much as he does about the history and value. As Mike and Frank like to say...this is a farm fresh pick! The tag on the bicycle says Montgomery Hawthorne Deluxe. It looks like all original parts...including heart sprocket and leather bag attached to the leather seat. We got this at an estate sale in an old/barn garage...just like on American Pickers...underneath tons of other treasures!! Our hearts were beating!! Can you please tell us more about this bicycle...the age, history& value?

Well, my Elgin posted on this site is about a 29 with the same frame style. It looks like you have 28 inch wheels, like mine too. I got mine without a seat and pedals. I paid 100 for mine off a bicycle shop which I thought was fair. If yours has 28 inch wheels tires are priced over a hundred each. I like yours very much. The seat looks to be in really good shape, and yours has the cross bar handle bars. Nice pick.
