    I've scrubbed like crazy, but it doesn't even make a difference. there must be some way to remove this. also, does anyone know anything about the vase? it's very nice glass, i think.

      Interesting shape! No idea where from sorry.
      The problem here is that the glass has been etched by a contaminant. The only way to fix it is to polish the etching out. In the past I have removed some light marks by polishing the stain with T Cut or some other polish. You can get glass polishing kits with reducing grades of polish and buffs on line. It is a lot of work unless you have something to drive a buff electrically!

      yes, i've tried CLR, as well as a few other things. i think racer4four is right and i will need to polish the inside of this vase. i do have an electric polisher which i can set up to polish glass. i'll just need the right bits and stuff to polish glass with. thanks both of you!
