Fir chopping in Washington

Not sure of the date of this image, but it's a real photo postcard by Kodak. These brave men show us the 12ft span of this massive tree before yelling "timber!" in Western Washington. Unfortunately this postcard was never sent to anyone so I'm not sure why it was bought. Maybe just for the amazement of the image. How long does it take to chop down a tree of such magnitude? I hope to find more images related to this in the future and grow my collection. It's all about the hunt!
