It is a gallon milk jug, with Meadow Gold in printed in the glass, & written in white letters also, would love to know the date it was made.has numbers on the bottom they are # 9, on the left, then # 60 on the right,then # 5 in the middle of them,one side next to the bottom it says REGISTERED,then the other side ( back) it says,sealed 0, then a space the letter s!other side says one gallon! then space,M. 5092, then on bottom front it says, Liquid,on the bottom it also says,Duraglass plastic handle.

Can you post a pic of the bottom? It should (??) have some raised letters there that will indicate the maker and the date.....

Would I be correct in saying it has a plastic handle? If so that will probably date it faster than researching embossing on the bottle.
Yes it has a plastic handle, please someone surely knows the year or close to when it was made, I can only find quarts, I need to know about my gallon brown Milk Jug.

Your bottle was probably made at some point after 1957. There were a number of buy outs of the company and associated name changes with each new owner. The fact that the bottle does not say Arden's Meadow Gold indicates the bottle was made after Bordens bought the company. If it were an earlier bottle it would have a wire bail handle as opposed to plastic. This appears to be light amber glass so that boosts the value compared to clear glass. You can find the same bottle on worthpoint, etsy and Ruby Lane. They are listed with inflated prices so finding a buyer seems to be an issue.
