I have been told that it was imported to Sweden sometime between 1900-1920. It is likely from a country in Europe. The only stamp is an old Swedish import hallmark for silver. I would like to know more about this little pendant. The chain is not consistent with the jewelery. Where does it come from?

You're very welcome.... I'm a sucker for Onyx jewelry. The small stone might be diamond, you can have it checked by a Jeweler, unless you have a diamond checker(reflective light meter)

The style is Edwardian, around 1910, some people even call it Art Deco because its time is close to Art Deco and it has straight lines. Pendants of this shape were very often made in "camphor glass" (in addition to onyx, black glass, and engraved metal) set in silver or other metals, and a quick online search will yield many pendants of almost identical design to yours.
Thanks davyd286! The only thing I knew was that this one is made of silver and that the black stone is Onyx, not glass. What makes you certain about the time, around,1910?
I don't know what they are called so I didn't know what to search for, it is foreign to me this pendant. Do you think it's a mourning piece?

I've searched online now but I must be doing it wrong :-). Couldn't find very similar ones. I don't feel this to be that near Art deco because of the soft flowers.
It's not a mourning piece. Try searching for "camphor glass pendant" - there are a lot in this exact shape. I did not find many in onyx and it's a concern, and also the fact that its setting does not look to be a perfect fit.
The Belle Epoque style enjoyed a revival period around 1940s - could be another lead for your research.

You will see some similarities.
From the used stone I can say that it is not a diamond because this cut is usually used on very small diamonds under .05 carats and this way of cutting is known as the 8 cut. The stone is single cut and diamonds this large would never be cut this way. It could be paste, white sapphire, Rhinestone but I would suggest to show it a jeweler. The origin is difficult to tell without a mark because it could be made in a lot of countries. I hope all this give you some answers on your questions.
I forget to mention. If it's Art Nouveau indeed it was not used mourning jewelry because that's from the 18s and 19s.

Special thanks to Agram.m! Jippi Art Nouveau! I think the middle stone most likely is some other stone or glass. I'm quite certain the black stone is Onyx, after having campared. I will have it checked some day. It really not that important to me. For me the piece is an illustration of its time and finding out what era, is most important.

Is this the one Elisabethan, it's lovely, it looks Deco, did you check the stone to see if it is a Diamond. You can buy a Diamond selector of eBay.

Elisabethan I've seen a necklace very similar to this one. The one I saw was oval instead of rectangle, and Victorian not deco, the black stone was Jet and the clear stone a Rhinestone, they called it chatelaine necklace.

Wow, the flowers on your georgian ring made me feel even more than before that my pendant is english. The necklace on ebay has lots of similarities, I agree. Don't know if it's jet in mine. Have to read up on jet. The Black on my pendant isn't cool like glass but it could still be a material imitating jet. Thanks for this advice peasejean55! Make me think I'm closer to the answer about where my pendant was made. I agree it's not art deco, but older. It must be. Thanks!
And, I was sure it was onyx before but it's a while since I was certain about that :). All I know is that it's not glass. It's not cool to the touch.
