      Just bought..but, would love to know who made it. Haven't picked it up yet. I do know that it was made in 1900. If anyone can share information with me...I would greatly appreciate it!!

      There is a very useful web site called connectedlines.com that lists and shows examples of furniture by era. Also if you intend buying and collecting it is always good to check sites that show reproductions. Everyone is always positive they bought the real deal. If they don't know who made it, don't know the era or how to identify construction techniques then how are they positive it isn't a reproduction? Because grandma said so? Because a salesman said so? Find some good sites and bookmark them for research. Most sites are free and will ultimately save you money in the long run.
