Sessions Electric Banjo Wall clock with Mt. Vernon - Model 2W c. 1930s

This clock has a two toned hardwood case with decorative brass on the sides and a brass American Eagle finial crowning this beautiful old clock. There is a lithograph picture of George Washington's estate at Mount Vernon in the window box. The back markings show it as a Model 2W, from "The Sessions Clock Company, Forestville, Conn. U.S.A.," and other electrical information and 5 patent. numbers (see last pic).

This clock is about 22 inches tall.

    Hello,
I have this exact Sessions Banjo clock in the mechanical version; would anyone have information on its age?
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Kevin,
It could have been produced at the same time as this or maybe just before. It is logical that while producing a case for one it would be easy to produce the same case for the other type movement.

I am delighted to see the exact replica of my church sale find. I purchased it on Block Island, RI, oiled the parts, fiddled with it gingerly, polished it, plugged it in and WALLA, it works beautifully. The frame around the print of MT Vernon was painted gold, UGH, but the wood is in good condition otherwise. Anyone know more about this clock?? Age etc.

I have the identical clock but mine has a nautical picture - tall ship and other smaller vessels. Belonged to my grandfather, but don't know when it was purchased, etc. Any information? Will work and chime if it's wound.
