I love this ring. It is in late historismus style, but you can already see the influence of art nouveau and jugendstil on the mount. The carving of the shell cameo is of very good quality. It is marked 750 for 18K gold and a maker’s mark that looks like MB (could it be Murrle Bennett?). In any case, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Love the carved womans profile. I don't always find carvings like this well made or beautiful but this one really is! She's so nicely made, soft sensitive line. Lovely!!!
You are right, Elisabethan! It's hard to find a well-carved cameo from that period. The earlier ones tend to be of better quality, but also are very elaborate. I actually like the simplicity of this one.
