    Vintage portable Eveready flasher.
Says manufactured for National carbon Co New York,San Fransisco
by Wallace and Tiernan Co Inc.
The light bulb fits in the stem at the lid of the can.
I had a look at it and there is a simple electric motor inside the tin can and a series of 2 reduction gears and flywheel all made of brass.
    Also has a mainspring.
The electric motor has a single coil with a simple relay at the top The negative side of the coil is grounded to the body of the tin can the power wire goes to the bottom of the tin can through an electrically insulated
hole that would touch the positive below or another tin can below,Perhaps I can post it again with different photos.
So its either the Holy grail of tin cans or Holy grail of flashlights. Or the first electric tin can.
    Bomb timer?

It looks like it's just the inside part of a lantern.

I don't get the "Clock" part.

You know by opening it you ruined the guarantee, lol
