ON STRIKE Metropolitan Agents Demand a Union Shop with a Substantial Paid Increase. IWIU-AFL-CIO Local 30

There is another sign underneath it which reads: ON STRIKE Prudential Insurance Workers of America. Local 30 AFL-CIO

I don't know much about labor union history, but would like to learn more. Several of these signs were found by some friends of mine who were cleaning out the basement of a home of an elderly man who passed away recently.

It would be great if someone could tell me anything about this strike and when it occurred.
