I had never seen, heard or read of a bakelite pin like this. Until I did some dig in the web and found three other similar to it. Not long ago I was lucky to have came across another one. Since I had two of them, I sold one on eBay. They're all similar but a little different in detail and I assure you I kept the better looking one :0)
Also found it in the book, "Bakelite Jewelry, good-better-best" by Donna Wassertrom & Leslie Pina on pg 42. Believe it's from the 1920s - 1930s.
At times when I look at it, I wonder of its history. It's a very old piece and in awesome conditions, I love it and still has a wonderful elegant smell.
So what do you think? Have you ever seen one like this? Do tell........
