Hello! Here is a hand-carved cross with two recessed hand-painted boxes that came into my possession some years ago. I have always liked it but never known the slightest things about it. I think the chambers are painted in water-based paint. The two little doors are held on with twine. Not sure of the language (anyone know?). The entire cross is about a foot and a half high. There must be a class of items like this one but I have never run across them. It would be fun to learn more about it.
