This was my first Coke piece.I got this in the early 1980s while traveling through Kentucky. There were two 24" buttons with the general store name between them. The sign was close to ten feet long. Next to the store was a small frame home and I figured the owner of the store lived there. I knocked on the door and an elderly man answered the door. I asked if he was interested in selling one of the buttons. He asked me to make an offer and I offered him $25.00. He accepted and got his tools and took it off the side of the store. While doing this, he asked if I wanted the other one and I declined. Looking back, I wish I would have taken the entire sign, but I am satisfied with what I got, as well as the memory of my first real pick.

very nice find. thanks for sharing!
I just bought a 36 inch coke button sign porcelin. There are no tags on the back of the sign and the man I bought it off of told me he remembers it was on his dads wall at least since 1972. The sign is spotless. How can I determine the age of my sign ? All the writing on the sign is in white lettering, no yellow writing. Here is what is says on the front of the sign. Very top- Drink Middle-Coca-Cola and Bottom- Sign of good taste all leters in white lettering. Any idea on age ??? Thank you, Smitty
