Everyone from Massachusetts knows the history of 2 sports, basketball & volleyball. Volleyball was invented in Holyoke, Massachusetts (the Baywest Area) by William G. Morgan (an instructor at the YMCA & good friend of Basketball inventor James Naismith) in 1895. Today there are more than 46 million Americans who play volleyball. There are 800 million players worldwide who play Volleyball at least once a week. Anyhow this stamp I'm sure commemorated this sport. =)
