I'm not really sure what this is. It could be a coaster for a drink or a little tray for something. The insert is thick glass with smooth edges and it covers the pixie design which is applied to a metal shell that forms the outside of the piece. I don't think it's hand painted only printed. It's trimmed in a piece of purple velveteen ribbon. The back has some kind of gold enamel covering an embossed image of the same pixie motif from the front. It's chipped off in a few spots though. The other thing that intrigued me is the tag on the back carries my grandmother's married last name which was Faulkner. Kind of a weird coincidence. -Mike-

Thanks Aim :) but now you're assuming I'm that organized....lol. That's the plan with all these things eventually,to be neatly displayed in cabinets and groupings someday. We're having our community "garage" sale in June. I really should set up some tables this year to sort the excess, but I can never get motivated enough to do it :P -Mike-
