I have a 1918 E G Renesch poster "Flag of Freedom". I've had a difficult time finding information of the painter. I don't care about the value of the poster, but cherish the idea of the times and love the huge American flag behind the woman. Is there a site that I can read the biography of this artist?
I recently acquired a WWI poster copywrite 1918. It has a picture of Woodrow Wilson along with Admiral Sims & General Pershing along with pictures of an army solder and navy sailor hugging their wives. At the bottom it says "over the top" with Uncle Sam above. Great color! Could you give me an estimated value?
Jim,
Post a photograph of yours on the site along with the size and condition.
It is hard to give an estimate w/o more information.
