    vintage ashtray gladiater and chariot not shure what it is made of soapstone ? ressen ? its a mystery.. there is a siginture but I have no idea who it is.. it is about 2 lbs 3 1/2" tall 6" wide.. have no idea on the age.. it is a very well done carving.. any info would be greatly appriceated..

      I would tend to question this being soapstone but it could be. The base shows rotary cut where it should show up/down cuts. I would sooner think it is man made material.

      thank you .. what ever it is made of it is pretty heavy.. thank you for your knowing about the cuts . interesting..

      I know this post is 5 years old, but I also have the same ashtray for anyone who is researching in the future. It is definitely Resin material, possibly a huge chunk of bakelite, I don't know, but definitely not natural material.

      As far as the CL if anyone knows please post up! I am researching the sig now without much luck.
