I bought this jar at an antiques fair over 30 years ago and I still think it is very beautiful :-) . I have always assumed it is a ginger jar but I have never seen one similar. It is approx 34cm tall.

Lovely valmac. It has that ginger jar shape doesn't it. I'm no expert & afraid can't help you ID it but the art work looks beautiful. Is there anything on the base?

Found some markings on the bottom but can't make out what they are.

I wouldn't know a ginger jar from a moonshine jug but I think this is nice. Well forget not knowing a moonshine jug but you get the idea.

i think it is terrific , only i don,t know S,,, about this

actually i am far to ignorant for this , i did,not knew there are square close framed marks who could be posible japanese

am i wrong or am i in a mother of pearl glaring Probably still a decall , see by means of recesses

excellent color combination, even the right shading in the treetrunks

we got uneven pressure in the mark , so it probably remains vintage something like 50 ties

      still got the dynamics

actually i don,t know nothing about this , so i probably talk BS , i don,t care if it is a possible complete fake , i think it is terrific ( japanese 50 ties ??????)
