This is a Blue Milk Glass Lightning Rod Ball in the "Moon & Star" pattern made by the Goshen Lightning Rod Company, Goshen, Indiana.
    - The Goshen Lightning Rod Company originated around 1909 and was either acquired by or merged with the West Dodd Lightning Conductor Company after the Great Depression. - This design ball is circa 1910 to 1920 and was made available in at least 11 different colors (blue milkglass, white milkglass, grey milkglass, orange milkglass, cobalt blue, amethyst, clear, amber, red, silver, and gold)
    - It is 5 1/8" high and 4 3/8" in diameter and only has a few small chips on the endpieces where the copper caps would have been for mounting on the rod. - This ball came from an 1800's Northwestern Indiana (LaPorte County) farm.
