This one followed me home from the DC Big Flea today - Loetz covered glass jar - ca. 1915 - unusual color combination of Kaiserrot (Imperial Red) with opal finial and whatever you call the two button thing that separates the foot from the bowl. (How was that for a technical definition)? :) It has a handwritten Czecho Slovakia mark on the base in white enamel. I have a pair of Ausführung 166 vases with the same script mark, so this is the second time I've encountered it on a Loetz piece.
One of my favourites....love the depth of the red.

So Kaiserrot is the name for this darker shade of red? Love how it contrats against the white accents!
There is apparently also an even darker shade called oxblood that is mentioned in the production notes for this shape, but that one didn't come with the white accents.
Does this red vase turn colour into a browns¡sh-purple-ish shade in full light? We have a three handled vase in a pretty dark red that does... I think it must be oxblood
