She is about 12" tall. Her legs and hands are crazed. Her face does not appear "shiny" like most china. Very ornate dress with a slip and panty loons made of an odd material, it is thick and kinda slick. Never seen that type of material before. Does anyone know anything about her? Thank you!

Hi your doll is not a original China doll from 1800's to early 1900's . She is newer and homemade in a ceramic class . They would supply molds you would paint it ,they fired it for you and supplied body parts. You made the clothes. They did make these in factories and sold as collectible dolls not toys . I can not tell without a close up of face , But from around 1980's era a bit before and after . I can't see her pantaloons to tell what material it is . These have little value in todays market but make nice decorations on beds or displayed :-) We call them reproduction chinas . There were early China dolls from 1870s-80's with that type of hair do . Antique China dolls are named by their hair do as that dates them .

Thank you Manikin! I was hoping you would answer! :) I do appreciate the clarification, it is so difficult to tell. I did not pay much for her so she will be a fine decoration for my room.
