Clever design of a barbed warning strip for fences. Attributed to John W. Nadelhoffer, of De Kalb, Illinois, patent #201,889, April 2, 1878.

Clever design that firmly locks the barbs into position when stretched.

The sheet metal strip is 1" wide. Visible from a great distance.
