This had been painted white, but i removed all the paint and found this beautiful blue swan underneath. I think it may be by Frank Moreno - a california potter from the 1950s-1960s. there is a chip in the rim, unfortunately. another one for the damaged goods museum i'm going to open someday!

Damaged Goods Museum, that is a great idea, bravo.
And the swan, we had one just like it on the patio, and a raccoon knocked it over and broke it, maybe a candidate for the museum. :-), Kirk

thanks artistinside! i have more candidates for that museum than the other one, i'm afraid. i could tell some stories... if they weren't so embarassing. like the very rare and valuable tobacco tin i found. there was a tiny bit of rust on it, so i thought 'rust remover will remove the rust and leave the paint, right?' NOT!
