Picked(dug) this item while converting our old garage into our shop,by the looks of it,I'd say it's older than our state(WISCONSIN),It is silver on copper,Stands on four lions feet of solid silver ,Has a solid silver leaf to open it It is missing it's handle, has a small triangular hallmark on the bottom, inside the hallmark are three sections on the top one it looks like ET lower left, a pair of shears, lower right maybe a lion?very tiny to say the least. On the cover is a lion holding a banner, standing in a canoe like vessel, any ideas of where, when, or by whom this was made would be greatly appreciated.

This is a silent butler. It was used to collect ashes, crumbs, or whatever else might need to be cleaned up. They are very common.
