I am searching for information about this piece. There are seam lines up the Emerson Bromo Seltzer bottle. M is on the bottom of the bottle. The M is in a circle. The number 2 is on the bottom. Emerson Drug Company is on the side.

8 inches tall and 31/4 inches wide

Can anybody refer me to a comparable or exact item with a price on the internet? Is the bottle rare? Does anybody know how old it is?

Not really rare - hard to find with a lid - most bottles are "dug up" so the lids would rust away. - The M in circle is for Maryland Glass Co. - Maryland Glass Corporation was organized in 1907 as a vehicle for making large quantities of Bromo-Seltzer bottles for parent Emerson Drug Company, of Baltimore. This company was soon specializing in producing all kinds of cobalt blue bottles and jars. Many of the containers made for Phillips Milk of Magnesia, Bromo-Seltzer, Bromo-Caffeine, Vicks Vapo-Rub, Noxema, and others were produced here. The M in a circle mark is seen on tremendous numbers of glass containers from the 1920's through the 1960's, and cobalt blue jars and bottles from trash dumps of this time period are often found that bear this mark.
