This silver baby rattle was picked up at the tip today !!
It was in a box of books and maps ... it was black when found but it cleaned up like new. Sadly there aren't any hallmarks but im pretty sure its silver possibly from europe , it rattles well from both sides and measures 4" wide x 1 3/4 round .. not sure how old it is or where its from but what a cool find !!

its a great object ive not seen another this shape!!
One of my lot got one of similar to this when born - late 90s. So may not be so old but I remember it was silver...don't know where it is now!!
Thanx racer , I googled silver baby rattle Images and theres loads of em!! Some early some not they call them dumbell rattles, I dont think this is too old but it was black when I found It, think its foreign or it would be marked ..
