The flow blue technique is beautiful...some collectors prefer cleaner lines. I like both.
A magnificent example of both pattern and style of plate and of course the technique. It's bleed very well without looking messy. Do you mind me asking how it came to you? I'm not being nosy but it's always interesting especially in Porcelain to know how items come to their current owner.
IMHO it is either a sandwich plate, they were usually square but Edwardian makers liked to experiment with the French Renaissance look or it's a dressing table tray or as USA say Vanity set for ladies condiments . Depends on the size.
One other question if I may, does it have a gold thin line around or close to the rim, about 1cm in from the edge, just can't see.
The shape is unusual for Myott but stunning. Well done to them for designing such a gorgeous piece.

Anne, Goodday" It does have a remnant of gold throughout the rim, and approx. 1" down from the rim on the raised lines, below the flowers. This was strewn on a table in the Desert, at a sale. I was thinking its a vegetable serving dish. But I really don't know. I find it interesting to see the interest & lack of interest, for different things. I have this on the carpet, as to protect it. But when friends and family see some of these items, they see Junk" lol, true. I however, don't want them to touch anything with that aptitude" These photos were taken at night. In Natural light, i find it to be Very Nice Job, and Strange that Myotts is so little known.....
