This is a jewelry box brought from Romania and is either 1614 or 1814... the inscription is solo hard to read.. any help would be great but this is a must see .....aron.cline@gmail.com

Very lovely jewelry box -- would not be 1614 as they would not be using screws then, and it would appear to be newer than 1814 as well... so the dating may be off a bit.

      The screws look modern.

Also there is Not appropriate age related wear - where there should be.......or anywhere on handles, corners, from use over the years.

I would be very suspect of this item ..... IMHO
