    Looks like the Union Pacific Turbine Engine. I don't remember how many they built but not many. No idea how much its worth. but I've never seen a model of that UP engine if that is what it is. Illinois Railroad museum has the prototype. Hope this is helpful.

    That isn't a turbine locomotive, and there are plenty of instances of UP painted turbine Verandas.

    The locomotive in this thread is a DD40X, it is actually 2 locomotives in one frame, the opening in the middle lets crew get to either side if the unit. I would guess your model is made by Athearn. If it is complete with handrails etc., I see them go for about $60 on ebay.
