What would the silver mark look like? I brought it to a jeweler to have it appraised and he said it was gold with 4 small ruby stones for the eyes. He said he couldn't even begin to estimate it's worth! LOL

Agree with idcloisonne, not before '40 and for export, but intact condition and such sentimental value, please keep it!
