I would like to know where it origins and it's price
Could really do with some over all pictures of the whole object !! Looks japanese poss 50s?? Im no expert
This is Chinese. Says made in Qianlong Emperor era (Qing Dynasty). Hope this helps! George

I will post more pics. later today. Thanks for the information but could you tell me if Qinghai vases have much value? My parents and I were told it was bought in Japan by the person we got it from so we thought it was Japanese.
Luis, firstly, you need to establish the vase is a real 16th Century. There are many modern made pieces with old markings.
Genuine piece are extremely valuable. Modern made with old style markings are for tourist.
Okay, I understand that. How can I verify it's authenticity? I would be surprised if it was fake because the purchaser was a respected business lawyer. Wether it's real or not, it is beautiful.
Post more pictures and experts on CW might be able to comment on authenticity.

Thank you, George, I would like to know what you think about it. Do you have an idea of what the price range would be if it was authentic or not. If it's not authentic would it still have a good value?
Luis, the rules of this CW site is that we do not value items here. Also, I am not an expert in Chinese pottery hence cannot make any useful comments. However, if this piece is authentic 16th century, it should make 5 figures US minimum! Try send pictures to Christies or Sothebys for advise if you believe it is real.

Some museums can also do authentications, so check locally. You can contact Christies or Sotheby’s auction house on line. There is a form you fill out with pictures. If they think it’s worthy of a closer examination, they will arrange that with you, or they will let you know if they’re not interested. Obviously they would charge a feee for the appraisal and if you wish to sell, they would probably deduct from the commission. Gotheborg.com may also be of help.
Wow! That piece looks like it was made for the "Imperials", my unprofessional guess is that it may be a pre Qinglong Dynasty piece. (for starters, turn the photo counter-clockwise) but you can search under vintage or antique (try one at a time, but do try both) like; vintage Chinese porcelain hallmarks. And good luck with it, but I can tell you, if you are persistent enough, you will figure it out. :) By the looks of it, it is very much worth figuring it out!
first of all qianlong is 18 century in stead of 16 century
second pseudo ormolu is an theoretical shut out for the qianlong period
there are no red qianlong marks in the qianlong period
and they are certainly Not with an stamped mark
and for you might read 8 daoist symbols and ruyi head borders
this vase is made after 1960 during the PROC period
its a cute vase but has only decoration value
